My name is Sue Walters and I have worked as a swimming teacher since my children were 6 and 4 years old in 2009. I specialise in baby, toddler and pre-school swimming, but in my last post I have taught from 6 week-old babies up to a 40-year old mom as a surprise for her husband's birthday!
In June 2015 I was given the opportunity to start my own adventure and began to work on opening my own swim school, Little Ducks Swim School. Our first lessons will start at the beginning of September 2015 and having worked on training, mentoring and developing staff at my previous swim school, I feel that Kate & I have your child's best interests at heart.
As a mom of 2 children, I was keen for them to learn in a safe, fun and progressive environment, and feel that this is our mission for the future. At present we offer lessons for babies age 1+ (our starfish swimmers), progressing into our older toddlers and pre-school children age 2-4+ (our Stanley swimmers), building towards achieving their 5m badge. Our children progress at a relaxed pace with fun and games to support both swimming ability, confidence and water safety.
Our small class sizes make for a more relaxed environment where our teaching staff can pay close attention to you and your child. Our scheme of work helps build aquatic confidence and at the same time, life skills.
Kate has been a keen swimmer from a young age and became a baby and pre-school specialised teacher in 2012. Having 2 daughters, she is keen to pass on her passion for swimming and water safety, to her classes.
